Do you prefer your lobster roll cold or warm, with butter or mayo? This summer we are putting an end to the age-old debate of the best sandwich in Boston by hosting our first ever Lobsta’ Challenge.

From June 2015 through September 30th, 2015 we invite everyone from locals, tourists, passersby’s– the entire neighborhood– to vote for their favorite style lobster roll, the best sandwich Boston has ever seen. Since the early days, lobster has been a New England delicacy due to the regions extensive use of seafood resulting from its historical reliance on its seaports and fishing industry. So, whether you enjoy the roll tossed in a warm bath of butter or a lobster salad roll tossed with mayo and served chilled, Pauli’s wants you to make your voice heard about this fine New England delicacy. Simply stop by any time and cast your vote by dropping it in the lobsta’jar on the front counter, no purchase required. Along with voting, make sure to check out the wide variety of lobster dishes Pauli’s has to offer. From our classic Lobster Roll ($15.99) filled with chunks of fresh lobster meat and mayo on a grilled New England style hot dog roll to our Lobster Grilled Cheese ($18.99) served with fries, we provide all of our customers’ lobster cravings. And everyone that casts his/her vote will be entered to win the ultimate Lobsta’Cation!

The Lobsta’Cation is a one night stay for (2) in the beautiful Oqunquit, Maine. Before departing for the trip the winner will stop by Pauli’s to pick up a gas card and two lobster rolls, their style, to go for the road trip. Once in Ogunquit they’ll be treated to a lobster boat tour out of Perkins Cove! The winner will be chosen on October 1st, 2015. No purchase necessary and must be 21+ to win.

On May 20th, 2015 David Letterman will end his 33-year reign as the king of nighttime television when he signs off for the final time. Millions of fans will miss Letterman, especially our owner Paul Barker. Barker is currently memorializing Letterman in cold-cuts with the menu addition of the “Letterman Sandwich.” “I’ve watched Letterman as long as I can remember. We have a lot in common. Dave likes sandwiches, I make sandwiches. Enough said,” said Barker.

The Letterman Sandwich will consist of ham, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and mustard on whole wheat bread, Letterman’s favorite sandwich as quoted on a July 15th, 2014 airing of the Late Show With David Letterman where he and Jason Segal discussed how sandwiches are more diverse than burritos like Letterman the sandwich will retire on May 20th, 2015.
